Reclaim your heritage, and loose an arrow, Garstang and district has a long and interesting history relating to archery, for example Fletcher’s Wiend in Garstang, Butts Lane, old Archery Clubs, and the locals shooting arrows at the vicar, so why not have a go! …..not shooting at vicars, that was 1600 and for the most part we don’t encourage that kind of behaviour, also we are not allowed to shoot at the French any more. However some of the World’s best archers still come from Britain, so we haven’t lost it!

At the Bowbeares of Wyresdale we have all the equipment necessary to start shooting. Your first session is free, after that if you want to continue we run 6 week Beginner’s Courses, these will show you how to shoot accurately and safely.

The courses are run according to demand, ask for details on future dates, the 6 week course costs £50.
